Gmail Labs today announced a new feature - “canned” or pre-recorded responses to common questions you are tired of answering.

Take, for example Birthday Emails, which are all basically the same. So you type the message once, save it as “Happy Birthday”.

The next time it’s someone’s birthday, just select “Canned Response” and send the pre-recorded “Happy Birthday” message without having to type anything new.
